Background
- The site was built using Genesis Framework
- Loretta, the owner of Inner Mammal Institute wanted a site that will provide a lot of information about her work which is an inner mammal theory, so more reading content would be involved
- Clean up the site’s coding and remove plugins as there are too many of them for the site
Project Scope
- This project is remaking the site and adding several new functionalities using Genesis Framework and ACF Pro
Approach
- Since this was a site remake and she wanted to keep some content and add new ones, so the best way would be to clone the site and make it a staging site
- From there, I removed all unused plugins; some of them are not used and some of them could be included within the Genesis theme
- Some of the site’s content are re-organized to make it easy to adjust which helped speed up the editing process
- She has few books on Amazon, so I created custom post type for that, so each book has its own landing page and she could put some content there
Result
- The site is much more organized and she is happy with her new site
- Cloudways is the hosting provider
- The site is live at https://innermammalinstitute.org/
- The custom post type for the book is used in many different section throughout the site, see below for the screenshots for one of the book setup in the backend

- During the initial phase of the project, I went through all the site’s requirement and discuss few things with her so I fully understand everything that she needs and she might need in the future. After some brainstorming, I came up with solutions and below is some screenshots of the site’s configuration in the backend to control some of the content in the site
